Last month, Kate Kendell announced that she will be stepping down as Executive Director of The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) at the end of the year. After 22 years at the helm, she’ll be leaving the NCLR offices but never our hearts.
After a tenure marked by unimaginable leaps of progress – legalization of same-sex marriage, expansion of LGBTQ adoption and parental rights – Kate will leave an organization that is stronger, louder and more determined than ever to rise up to defend the rights of all LGBTQ people.
But before she goes, we’re going to party!!
