The Spahr Center

Mental Health Services

We specialize in services for people living with HIV and for the LGBTQ community. Many of our therapists are part of the LGBTQ community. We also see clients who are covered by Medi-Cal/Beacon. Our mental health team includes licensed therapists; interns and a psychiatrist.

We know the issues and concerns of long-term HIV/AIDS survivors and people who are newly infected. We understand the needs and experiences of LGBTQ youth, adults and seniors. We work with trauma; low self esteem; depression; anxiety; substance use concerns and identity issues. We work with families and significant others to address the challenges they face - relationship issues; grief and loss and much more.
