You Can Make a Difference
By including The Spahr Center in your will or trust, or by making a planned gift, you can assure resources will be here in the future for vitally important services for all who need our help and support; for those seeking information and referral; for students who need education and businesses who need training.
You can make sure The Spahr Center will remain a safe and welcoming place for all who need us to stand with them and to speak up and speak out about their need and rights.
Your gift can be general support or you can direct it to a specific program or service, for example –
- LGBTQ young people who are vulnerable and at risk
- LGBT seniors seeking support and inclusion
- Long-term survivors of HIV/AIDS
- People of all ages who need HIV testing
A planned gift is the perfect way to be remembered or to remember a loved one or close friend or colleague. Making a bequest through your will or trust is one of the easiest ways to give. Bequests can be for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of an estate or a portion of a residuary estate.
Another option is to make The Spahr Center the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, a retirement plan or an IRA. As with bequests, this is a revocable arrangement that can be changed at any time you wish.
You can also consider renaming a bank or stock account so the amount remaining at the time of your death will pass automatically to The Spahr Center. This is also a revocable arrangement.
Giving a personal residence or rental property is another way to make a bequest. Or you can instruct your executor to sell your property and distribute part of the proceeds of the sale to The Spahr Center. You can also gift a residence now and retain the right to live in your home for life.
