Counting of residents of the United States will begin in March of 2020 and continue to July 2020.  Marin County is committing significant resources to assure that all residents are counted because a myriad of critical policy and funding decisions are based on this data. LGBTQ+ people are traditionally undercounted in the Census, and United Way of the Bay Area has provided The Spahr Center with a grant to encourage our community to stand up and be counted to increase chances for us to receive government funding of our programs and services.

The Census is looking for limited tenure, part time “Enumerators.”  These are people who will go door-to-door in the last months of the process to encourage people to complete and submit their Census 2020 documents.  More information and applications are available here
