Senior Programs and Services
The Spahr Center is Marin County’s only non-profit community agency devoted to serving, supporting and empowering the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community and everyone in the county living with and affected by HIV. Guided by our mission, our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, supporters and donors work together to achieve our vision of Marin as a healthy, inclusive community where every person lives with freedom and equality.
The Spahr Center offers monthly LGBT senior discussion groups that connect LGBT seniors to community, needed resources and helps to reduce isolation. In addition, we host quarterly LGBT senior luncheons at the Marin Yacht Club! We have an LGBT Senior Advisory Committee made up of volunteers that organize opportunities to connect, activities and events, further reducing isolation, which we know impacts health and well-being as we age.
