Born and bred in Brooklyn, New York, Amy moved to the Bay Area in 2013 to embark on a new adventure. Amy received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. While there, she studied abroad at Trinity College at Oxford University, studying Arthurian Romance Literature. Amy then received her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and became licensed to practice law in New York State. During law school, dissatisfied with the lack of LGBTQ+ student government organizations, Amy reinvigorated a long-forgotten group called Lambda Legal, turning it into one of the more popular and recognized student organizations at the school. After law school, Amy was the Legal Associate to the Speaker of the New York State Assembly, as well as serving as interim head of Constituent Services and Community Liaison. After moving to California, Amy began work at Terris, Barnes and Walters Political Media Consulting as an Account Executive, where she managed media campaigns for local, state, and federal elections. She is currently the Senior Field Representative for Congressman Jared Huffman whose district spans the coast from the Golden Gate Bridge up to the Oregon border. Amy primarily focuses on issues related to Women’s Equality, LGBTQ+ Equality, Mental Health, Healthcare, Seniors, and Social Security. Amy resides in Mill Valley with her wife and black lab. In her free time, Amy likes to hike, read cookbooks, and fight for equality. We are happy to have her join our Board of Directors!
